Tyrant's Rising Madness Chains The People In Frightening Silence
A Poem on Power, Freedom, and the Silence of the Oppressed
The Millennial Struggle of Nations
Exhausting and unending tears,
Fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters,
Who never found their way home.
Magnates and emperors,
The madness of a single soul's grandeur,
Nourished by the narcissist’s psyche,
By the demagogue's psychopathy.
The gray, unseeing masses,
The rising yeast of demagoguery,
Swallowing words of happiness,
Like miracle pills.
Dare to open a book,
Dare to be curious,
Dare to be critical,
Dare to raise your gaze.
Freedom is a caged bird,
Loosen the chain, and it flies away.
You alone remain,
With the shackle in your hand.
Your right to life and labor,
Your right to well-being and identity,
Your right to the everyday,
Your right to be yourself.
The path is rugged and shadowed,
Behind every rise, a lurking threat.
Practice the art of being unseen,
Loneliness, your only friend.
No! Let it not be so.
Choose your fate and belief,
The alternative cuts through the lie,
Together, we grow ever stronger.
